Hollins

All women's university in Southwestern, Virginia that boasts an impeccable creative writing program, the hottest equestrian school in the country, and even hotter girls. They don't call them "Hotlins" girls for nothing, these girls know how to pretty it up on the weekends, usually spent at all-male Hampden-Sydney College in Farmville, Virginia. If they aren't working on that thesis or hiking up Tinker Mountain for the legendary "Tinker Day" celebration, these girls can most likely be found "chuggin a beer like a Hollins girl can" at their weekly apartment parties on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Many of the girls like to use the Sydney boys' popular phrase "Longwood for head, Sweetbriar to bed, Hollins to wed" to describe how their beloved green and gold tops the rest.

Every girl can quote the Preppy Handbook's description of their "party-hearty" selves: "These gals marry well"
HSC boy: Hey beautiful, wanna stay with me tonight?
Hollins girl: I really shouldn't, but...

Hollister Ho

A derogatory term for an individual who deeply prefers to sport apparel sold under the Hollister brand. Typically materialistic, self-absorbed and socially unconscious. Said individuals are also known for vigorously defending critics regarding many of the controversial issues surrounding the brand, including accusations that the brand's parent company, Abercrombie and Fitch Co. sells sex to its teenage consumer base. Are also known for vehemently fighting claims that Hollister feeds off of a West Coast feel in order to garner customers from less desirable regions like the Midwest. The original demographic for this type of person was characterized by upper-middle class Caucasian teenage girls, but has spread to cover men and individuals of other age groups and ethnic backgrounds.

Slacker #1: "Where do Hollister Hos feel at home?"
Slacker #2: "The beach?"
#1: "No...the mall!"

Valley Girl #1: "Do you, like, wear anything else, or are you just another Hollister Ho?"
Valley Girl #2: "Totally not true...I just bought this really comfy jacket from Reuhl No.925!"

(note that Reuhl No.925 is, like Hollister, another subsidary of Abercrombie and Fitch)

Hollister, California

A small town in San Benito County. While this town has hicks who wear light denim jeans and ride pickup trucks, there is a good amount of culture and cool kids who inhibit the area. The only thing to do is hang out at the coffee shop, but that's not so bad because Hollister has a plethora of local high school bands that play there. And they're also not half bad.

There is only one high school(San Benito High) bearing the mascot Hank the Haybaler. Everyone in town goes to the high school's football games, where Hank is present. San Benito is also referred to as "the High School."

There used to be a kind of cool biker rally, but then it got cancelled so now the band kids can't fundraise by working at it and need to find other ways to raise money.

Hollister is also very close to awesome, hip places such as San Jose, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Carmel, etc. This town may appear to be a nothing town, but if you lived here you'd know that it's full of kind adults and teens with big ideas.

The West Side is where the poorer people live, the East side is average/middleclass, and all the rich people live in the Southside.

Hollister is just a town filled with rad kids and cool local bands.

but don't get me wrong, the second I graduate I'm getting the hell out.
What's there to do in Hollister, California?

Watch Fugu at Mars, duh.

hollister

A clothing store that is owned by Abercrombie & Fitch. It has a "West Coast feel" and is actually a great store. It targets teenagers and recruits good looking college kids to work.

I do understand some hate it and think its a cult, but I worked at one and the people are amazing and it actually is exactly what the haters say. An overpriced place to buy torn jeans, but hey here's a thought...why not buy the non torn jeans for $30 and do it yourself like most of the workers do at the store.

The clothing is of better quality than most the of the stores out there and is cheaper than A&F.

AND its not only for white people, I am hispanic and worked there and we had blacks and asains there too!
person 1 "Where did you get those great fitting jeans?"
person 2 "Oh at Hollister"
person 1 "You paid 100 dollars for jeans?!?"
person 2 "NO I paid 30 dollars...haha"
