It's telling that these superfluous letters spell out "ugh" and have no meaning or reason to exist, which shows the word's lackadaisical nature towards life and is a salient metaphor of how the people who overuse the word (typically hypebeasts) surround themselves with overpriced material goods to distract themselves from their menial jobs and meaningless lives
