Boomerang gift

A gift whose value or benefit accrues as much or more to the giver as the recipient. Examples: You give your partner season tickets knowing full well that you will always go together. Or you give a woman beautiful lingerie that you will appreciate as much as she. Or you take a date to dinner at a restaurant you both enjoy.

A boomerang gay/lesbian 🪃 is someone who engages in flirtatious behaviour then disappears to play the field/hoe face around and then tries to come back to you like a boomerang (once they potentially feel like worthless and shitty about themselves).

It stems from a Chinese proverb 好馬不吃回頭草.

This translates into "A Good Horse Will Never Return to Graze on Grass that It Has Already Passed by." - A Chinese Proverb or similarly, “Grass isn’t always Greener”

So don’t accept that return boomerang. They lost their chance :)
