Ghost

A ghost is the spirit or soul of a dead person or animal which leaves its dead body and moans when it talks. Ghosts are well known to be characters in scary stories such as one story about the haunted house or Halloween. Back in the past, people used to think that ghosts were real but not any more on the present day.

The children were scared to go to the haunted house because there was a ghost in the kitchen.
