Giving Tuesday

The Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. After battling hordes of other middle aged mothers in stores or ignoring their friends and loved ones in lieu of staring at ads on a computer screen for hours on end, people wake up the next day and realize that the season is supposed to be about love and charity. So they scrape together what few pennies they have left over from the previous day's spending and donate it to cancer research.

Despite occurring less than a week after Thanksgiving, people need another holiday to remind them not to be such selfish assholes. Thus, Giving Tuesday was born.

Second Hand Tunes

The audible pollution emanating from cheap, poorly fitted earbuds, such as the free buds doled out from Apple. Victims of second hand tunes are forced to listen to the distorted treble range of tunes typically in venues where quiet is the social norm (public transit, cafes, libraries).

When Ken and I took our seats on the train, we quickly realized we were the victims of second hand tunes pouring out of Tank's cranium.

Totes Malotes

Totally bad ass!

The phrase is a combination of totes, which is a truncated way of saying "totally" and malote, which is Chicano slang for "bad ass." It was popularized and possibly originated from the animated science fiction show “Rick and Morty”, created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Adult Swim. It's used by Rick Sanchez in Episode 4 of the first season, M. Night Shaym-Aliens!

Rick and Morty steal processor chips from the intergalactic scammers called the Zigerions and make a getaway in one of their escape pods.....
