This fear has been propagated by those with monetary business interests to spread this fear in the effort to raise funds and grow their businesses by spreading falsehoods about the fanciful idea that plastics are the root if all evil in the environment.

The not for profit companies are attempting to create Plastiphobia in an effort to raise money based on the irrational fear of plastics in the environment.
