Plastiphobia 

The irrational and scientifically unsubstantiated fear of plastics in the environment. This fear has been propagated by those with monetary business interests to spread this fear in the effort to raise funds and grow their businesses by spreading falsehoods about the fanciful idea that plastics are the root if all evil in the environment.

The not for profit companies are attempting to create Plastiphobia in an effort to raise money based on the irrational fear of plastics in the environment.

Platophobia 

Fear of being hit in the head with an airborne plate (particularly when thrown by a spouse or close relative).

"Oh dear, I am having an odd sense of platophobia right now!"
