afterthoughtful

adj., showing consideration for others only when it is obviously way too late and, usually, only when forced to do so. In other words, a thoughtful gesture made as a total afterthought.

Two roommates run into each other in the hallway ...
Guy: Hey, want to grab a beer?
Guy's friend: I can't tonight. I'm going out with Samantha and Colleen ... oh ... want to come along?
Guy: Thanks! That was very *afterthoughtful* of you!

Girlfriend calls on phone, on Friday evening, after being away 2 weeks on a business trip ...
Girlfriend: Hi! I'm back from my business trip. I put together a hiking trip. Of course, you're invited!

Afternoon Delight

The act of having sex during the afternoon hours of the day as opposed to the far more common nighttime hours.

The term was originally coined in the 1976 hit song "Afternoon Delight" by the Starlight Vocal Band. Due its lighthearted musical style, the song is often misinterpreted as being one about the general fun and innocence of being in love. Only upon close inspection of the lyrics does it become obvious that the song is actually about having sex during the afternoon hours of the day.

I went home to have lunch with my wife, but we ended up having a little afternoon delight instead.

see you after

I'm still not sure of the real meaning of this farewell but I have lived in Glasgow (Glaswegians use it frequently) for nine years, and I've been listening to it and thinking about it for the same amount of time.So, I can give yous my definition. "See you after" means: I will see you after all those things that have to happen before I can see you.

"See you after" is used by two people that are fond of each other and would use this expression to say goodbye.
