Wire/cable used as power wire for car audio amplifiers, espcially if it's done in a half-assed way such as using cut off jumper cables because it's cheaper. Also any half-assed wiring job, especially if it's hazardous.

I checked under my hood to make sure my Johnson Wire was still wrapped around the battery terminal good.

It was clear that the kid had done some Johnson Wiring to his truck.

A pair of shoes tied together and hanging from power lines or tree branches signifies that someone beloved is on drugs (specially marijuana) and there is no way back from there for that person.
