Typically used by coaches who just shouldn't be on the ice. When you tie your skates too tight and you take that first step on the ice and you get a sharp pain on the top of your foot and you're like oh shit that hurts. Hydrate well and it won't happen!

Coach: alright boys let's get a skate in I'll show you how to do the drill

To teach

In life's race one must never chase. So you must stay ready, all the time or you get left hbehind. Similar to an old shoe, life will toss you to the side as opportunities pass by, in this wicked game of give and take we all play.
