boot-out

In Alpine Skiing a boot-out occurs when the skier lays his or her skis so far over on their edges that the ski boot makes contact with the snow causing the ski edges to lose their edge grip.

Boot-out mostly occurs during a carved ski turn and impacts Alpine skiers far more often than snowboarders.

I had a boot-out on that steep section and my skis shot out from under me.

Boot Wife

A wife of a military personnel who acts in an obnoxious manner by "wearing her husband's rank" and literally wearing her husband's dog tags everywhere. They bitch will bitch until they can't breath about the small things that happen in the military, "Poor me, my husband is deployed; Wah, we didn't get to eat dinner together because the chief of command kept him an hour late!"

You can usually spot a Boot Wife driving around with stickers on her car call that read something like: "Half of my heart is in Iraq" or "Military Spouse, hardest job in the military."

Did you see that dumb-ass Boot Wife at the commissary without shoes on?

Boot-Licker

Someone who constantly agrees with their friends, or someone they see superior to them, to attempt to gain respect from their friends or colleagues (although it backfires, since that’s not how you gain respect). People hate this type of person, and people like this usually think they have lots of friends and everyone loves them — yet it’s the opposite of that.

Summary: a yes-man
