8 to 9 guys

People who without explanation go poop in the office between the hours of 8am and 9am when they clearly could have gone before they came to work. This is troublesome as it creates a traffic jam in the stalls every morning.

"Bob just got married and now he's one of the 8 to 9 guys. He must be afraid to poop in front of his new wife."

In marching band, 8 to 5 (or 22.5 inches) is the standard step size used. 8 steps to 5 yards.

For the parade, we will all be marching 8 to 5 to help keep uniformity among the band.

a term used to describe extremely biased officiating in the NBA.

The phrase comes from the fact that a game usually consists of 5 players vs 5 other players, but with the addition of the three referees helping one team predominately.

My team didn't have a hope last night, it was totally 8 on 5

Listening to 8-bit takes me back to the good ol' days when controlers were the least ergonomic part of the game system
