Consists of the RZA, GZA, ODB, Inspectah Deck, Raekwon the Chef, U-God, Ghostface Killah, Masta Killa, and Method Man. Also a large syndacyte consisting of Cappadonna and Killah Priest to name a few. Easily the best rap group with sharp lyricism named after the legendary Wu Tang sword of Chinese mythology. Most songs involve a kung-fu intro followed by great production and outstanding lyrics. All nine hail from Shaolin (Staten Island) and have produced 4 group albums in addition to MANY solo projects.

Hailing From New York, they brought a raw element into Hip Hop. There tracks contained no polished radio hooks, or commercial gain support. Instead providing Violent, Raw Punch lines through most of the tracks, layed over Adrenaline Rushing Beats. They made global success during the 90's hip hop's golden era, and still remain one of the top live performing groups in Hip Hop Today.
They are set to release their fifth album:8 Diagrams in Summer 2007. They are once again ready to beat on the "Rap" videos of modern today, that sounds more like pop and like commecial shit. They have a history of bashing posers such as puff daddy. Wu Tang is for the children. Wu Tang is the best. In a released statement, group leader RZA commented on the need for the Clan's return:
“ This is the perfect time for us to come back, the stars are aligned. It’s like when we first started with Steve. We put out real hip hop at a time when it was turning into pop or R&B. How could hip hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever? We’re here to revive the spirit and the economics and bring in a wave of energy that has lately dissipated." ”
