The utter dependance that non-computer users have on those they believe to be highly skilled in the area. Normally developed in the old or the parents, most of the time it is completly unfounded.

John: Hey man, remember that time you checked my e-mails for me?
David: Yeh...
John: Well now I need you to re-format a new drive, install it and move all my files over, could you do that for me, I'm completly techpendant on you

Mom: Carl, could you delete some virus' off of the family computer?

Carl: Mom, your techpendancy on me is killing my social life.

2. behind in the technological times.
3. Zoolander.
4. unable to perform basic tasks using current technologies, such as use email, upload pictures to the internet, etc.
5. Belief that the internet is, in fact, a system of tubes.

Adjective, "Tech-shee": Descriptive term for someone who is like a techie, but more amatuer and prone to misunderstanding their more experienced techie acquaintances.

Someone who is prone to exaggerating their "Techie" credentials and knowledge.

That new guy thinks he is a techie, but instead he is a texhie. He was bragging about how he could share his spreadsheet with his friends on the cloud.
