Nauseatingly upbeat. Not only do you see the silver lining in every cloud, but you're always turning lemons into lemonade and sow's ears into silk purses. You're just so amazingly chipper that you inspire everyone around you to wonder if killing you might be considered justifiable homicide.
Even though we were down by thirty points, the cheerleaders were still so happy sappy that I wanted to slap them.

Get the Sapped mug.Based on the show 'Steven Universe' in which the character name 'Sapphire' is a sentient gemstone who can predict the future and its possibilities.
'Sapphire syndrome' is when you can see multiple possibilities and outcomes of your actions when faced with a choice but in fear of making the wrong decision, you hesitate to act and even put your life on hold because you don't want to make the wrong choice. You figuratively freeze up. As the character 'Sapphire' does.
But the irony in this is if you don't act, you already make the wrong choice and let oppertunities and life slip by. Waiting for a specific possibility or certain condition or variables to attain your desired result.
Possible cure: Know your life is happening right now, so act now.
Accept that you are allowed to make mistakes(within reason) and understand that failing is a vital part in succeeding. Mistakes happen and sometimes life doesn't go the way we want it to, we make the wrong choices but we're human. We have to at least try to do the right thing and know that making a mistake doesn't mean it's the end for you. Life goes on.
Sometimes we have to work with what we have now. Life's short so stop waiting for something that might not be meant for you.

Sandy had a choice before her. To go to the Job interview in New York or the job interview in Dallas. Dallas job being closer to home made sense but the New York job had more money in it for her.
She had Sapphire Syndrome deciding the course of action.
Kate wasn't sure if she should marry John. He was nice and financially more stable but she still had feelings for Dylan, who moved away. She was struck with Sapphire syndrome with choosing who to run to.
If Nancy failed her exam, her life plans would be thrown off course. What would she do if she did fail? Sapphire syndrome fixed her to the spot where she stood as her thoughts raced.
