Very similar to the Thread Killer, the Threadsecutioner is an individual who kills an online discussion. Whether on a message board or a comment on a Facebook wall post, the threadsecutioner's contribution almost always ends the discussion.

The threadsecutioner's intentions are pure, but his actions are disastrous.

Commenter 1: Climate change is absolutely real! The vast majority of scientists agree on that!

Commenter 2: The science is flawed, and there's a significant number of scientists who think it's all bogus!

Noun: The place you have reached in reading an online thread.

Verb: To leave some kind of sign, e.g. highlighted text, to show where you have reached when reading an online thread.

If you lose your place in an online thread you would say 'I lost my threadmark'.
