Get the Fluffer mug.A broker of products or services that gets the client (policyholder) ready and lubed for the action from the manufacturer (insurer) ... usually in a prison scene, especially when a claim comes. Caveat (carpe) emptor.
Example 1: When asked whether the insurance program being proposed was appropriate for the client (large corporate insurance buyer), the fluffer replied, "if you want to get specific insurance that's related to you as your own company, then that would be different than what we are recommending in our presentation today."
Example 2: The broker fluffs so much, he's a serial fluffer.
Example 3: That fucking fluffer broker fluffed me when I bought the fluff coverage, what a fucking fool I am -- my claim is completely uncovered. Now the fluffer tells me that for $50 more, I could have had the correct coverage.
