Spongebob Squarepants

A show on Nickelodeon. It follows the adventures of Spongebob Squarepants, a sea sponge who lives in Bikini Bottom, a city under the sea. Spongebob works at The Krusty Krab, a fast food joint ran by Mr. Krabs. Working alongside Spongebob at The Krusty Krab is Squidward Tentacles, a squid who works as a cashier at The Krusty Krab. Two other friends of Spongebob is Patrick Star, a sea star and Sandy Cheeks, a squirrel. Another character is Plankton, a single plankton. The first episode of Spongebob Squarepants, Help Wanted, aired on May 1, 1999. As of June 2019, the show is still running and has 12 seasons with 245 episodes. A movie based around the show, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, was released on November 19, 2004. A second movie based around the show, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water, was released on February 6, 2015. A third movie based around the show, The Spongebob Movie: It’s A Wonderful Sponge, is in development and will be released on May 22, 2020.

I have lost hope in Spongebob Squarepants. It used to be good but the new episodes are terrible

A person who always insists that the episodes past season 9 of Spongebob SquarePants are forgettable garbage compared to its early and mid episodes, specifically before the second Spongebob movie.
But unlike people like a Spongeboomer and a Spongezoomer, the SpongeGenXer likes to complain about the character and animation style change

Person 1: I grew up with reruns of the first 8 seasons of SpongeBob, and those episodes are all good, everything past the second movie is Garbage.
