When a relatively new event / song / quote / phenomenon seems a lot older than it really is, due to excessive use & saturation from non stop bombardment from many different sources.
Tired of hearing that new Hindi song so many times, i feel exhausted by it’s fastalgia already…
(song/dialogue/quote/event) very recent but feels like it’s been around for a long time already, due to oversaturation & excessive use across many directions.
Fauxstalgia is sometimes used by folks who weren't born at the time to hark back about their experiences in the second world war, or used to remember a thing that didn't even happen such as the world before migration.
