Dialup

Dialup is a service that allows internet through a telephone line. Connect one end of the telephone line to the modem of your computer and the other end into your telephone jack. You couldn't use the phone and go online at the same time. This was basically how you used the internet before wifi. Or if you were me, wifi wasn't available where you lived so you used dialup..

Me: Hey Bob. Wanna hear something cool?
Bob: Yeah?
Me: I used to use dialup.
Bob: Holy shit you're old.

an internet connection that doesnt allow the people using it to talk on the phone at the same time, if you call someones house while their on dial-up internet you will recieve a sound so horrid that it will make your ears bleed.
it sounds like a robot being tortured.
