A small music/video playing device that is useful in everyday life. Although there are cheaper and better MP3 players out there, iPods are not really that bad. The latest generation isn't extremely overpriced and it is pretty cool.
The main flaw is its accessory prices, but it's tough point is the accessory range. There are thousands of accessories for the iPod.
Buying an iPod makes some teens and little kids think that they will be with the "cool kids" after buying ones. This is DEFINETLY not true. It's just a music player with style.

An ipod is a litle MP3 player. Some people that don't have alot of money, or like to hear themselves type, say that it is the most horrible attrocity against man since Nazism. If u like it, buy it, if not, dont.

instead of having a bulky cd player in my pants pocket having to frequently change cds, i can just listen to my ipod which i have easy access to in my shitr pocket and not have to change cds

ipods are devices used to listen to music. they are small, lightweight, easy to use, and very convenient. but, like all things, it has drawbacks. indeed, they are pricey, they do get scratched easily, and don't live up to the advertised battery life. But if you love music like i do and have an extremely large CD collection, they are the one of the most convenient electronic devices ever. The 30gb model(i own one) even plays music videos and movies. You can buy an fm adapter so you can listen wherever you drive, too. You can schedule events and set alarms to remind you of things. You can watch Sin City or that really hot Shakira video, all with one small gadget. The main drawback, however, is that they are now the "flavor of the week", so people who are NOT seeking to be cool/trendy, are mistakenly put in that group when they are seen with white earbuds.
