Jack's Mannequin

An overall awesome band. Jack's Mannequin is the side project of singer-songwriter-pianist Andrew McMahon of Something Corporate. It is usually classified as alternative rock, but is occasionally referred to as punk.Jack's Mannequin is a fairly new band. It was started in 2004, releasing it's first album in 2005. Jack's Mannequin only has one album, Everything In Transit, released right now. Everything In Transit is full of songs that are deeply personal to Andrew. Most of them have something to do with his struggle with leukemia. For example, Holiday From Real is about readjusting to his old life after his recovery and Kill The Messenger is about being in a relationship with someone who is ill (that person being himself). La La Lie involves the friends Andrew thought he had, but who didn't help him and stay by him while he was sick. Other songs from Everything In Transit are about love, relationships and other topics. Jack's Mannequin gained a lot of popularity after the band appeared on the T.V show One Tree Hill and were featured on it's soundtrack. The band currently finishing up their West Coast Winter Tour and will then start working on a new album.

Jack's Mannequin is a great band. They're my favorite.
