Grindcore Metal

A seemingly pointless, and totally stupid variation on the term "GRINDCORE".

Apparently Metal fans would like to forget/deny Grindcore's connection to the Hardcore Punk scene of the 80's all together by needlessly tacking on the word "METAL".

Grindcore is Grindcore, period... There's no denying it's Thrash Metal connections, but "Grindcore Metal" is just stupid. "Death Grind" seems much more appropriate than the needlessly-long "Grindcore Metal" title, which doesn't even make sense...

Metal snobs, stop trying to hijack Grindcore!
GRINDCORE: Mid-to-late-80's Napalm Death, most Agathocles, early Carcass, Warsore and so on.

Grindcore Metal: Uhhh.... ????????? I dunno, Dying Fetus? They aren't bad, but they're considered "Death Grind"... What the f**k is "Grindcore Metal"?

Metal Elitist

A douchebag who insists that any band you mention that is not Black Metal, Death Metal, Folk Metal or Power Metal, sucks ass and is not metal at all. They'll often bombard said band with immature insults such as: "They make me want to eat my own cock and vomit."
Bands they prefer are almost always obscure and come from Scandinavia. They hate all bands that are popular. The only Thrash Metal band that is tolerated by Metal Elitist is Iron Maiden. The rest isn't even metal.
Random guy: Hmm, favorite metal bands? Pantera, Fear Factory, Crobar...

Metal Elitist: Oh my god, your list sucks fucking bloody rectum. Shit isn't even metal. Weird Al Yankadick can make better metal than those bands. Besides, all that shit is pop-rock, you fucking twit! I'd rather have tumors in my scrotum and my gooch than to listen to Bell's crying again.

Metalcore

A blend of hardcore and metal music that evolved in the mid-to-late 90's with bands like Unbroken, Earth Crisis, Harvest, Endeavor, Poison The Well and Unearth. There is a liberal use of breakdowns in the music and the lyrical themes range from the political to the personal.

Often associated with the nu hardcore and fashioncore scenes.

pedal to the metal

When one pushes the gas pedal to the floor, making the vehicle burst to its highest possible speed. Generally done on straightaways or during drag races, accompanied by a burnout.
He put he pedal to the metal and left that toyota in the dust.

death metal

Subgenre of metal that is mostly characterized by heavier detuned riffing and complex rhythmic compositions diversifying itself outside the blast beat ridden thrash metal predecessors. Vocals changed over from the raspy throaty vocals of thrash to gutteral roars. Early influences include Hellhammer/Celtic Frost and Death (considered one of the first death metal bands). Later death metal bands incorporated detuning from standard tuning (for their guitars and bass guitars) for a heavier sound as well as influences from jazz/fusion for multiple time signature changes, start and stop tempo changes etc.

mentalyptus

1. An ingredient of a cough drop that a moron or retard would ingest when they are sick.

2. What a retarded koala eats in Australia.
Dave: "Hey, Chuck. Want a Halls Mentalyptus?"

Chuck (coughing): "Ahem, what?"

Dave: "Do you need a Halls Mentalyptus?"

Chuck (coughing again): "Ahem, what?"

Dave: "You retard, do you need a cough drop?"

Chuck (coughing yet again): "Ahem, what?"

Dave: "Yes you do! And a lobotomy while we are at it!"

Chuck (coughing for a fourth time): "Ahem, what?"
