Vernon, NJ

Vernon, NJ is a small town where the only attraction or place to go is mountain creek water park / ski resort. All of the locals work at mountain creek at minimum wage and most of the people are high school kids who never got a degree. The rest of the locals work at pizzarias, any diner that hasnt burned down or maybe the local bar. Half the people who graduate from vernon highschool are dead from overdosing on drugs, snowboarding accidents, or they have 3 to 4 kids by now. Anyone who grew up in Vernon knows its a trash town and if you stay there you will end up loser scum, which they mostly are. The plus side is theres a run down playboy club where the locals get drugs from and the police are always around. Besides going to the town over to highland lakes, to be a hick and fish and offroad at cherry ridge illegally. Most of the people in vernon own shitty cars or jeeps and do drugs at the "condos" aka "condo rats" where they all hang out to be alcoholics at kites, the local bar, or smoke and be ignorant.

slave vernacular

Refers to the broken English utilized by African slaves who learned to speak English during their enslavement in America. This form of speech became prefered by White people of the time, as it validated their belief that Africans were inferior and incapable of learning to be civilized. After a time, many children and decendants of slaves, both freed and still in captivity, utilized some form of slave dialect while in the presence of White people, but in private spoke proper English, read books, and wrote poetry.

An example of Slave Vernacular taken from Paul Lawrence Dunbar's (1872-1906)"An Easy Goin Feller":

Mount Vernon

MurDaVille, Money Earnin', Mo V., Da Ville, Murda Mount are all the same thing. 1 of 3 NYC suburbs on the north border of the Bronx (Mt.Vernon, Yonkers and New Rochelle). Consists of 3 main neighborhoods: Fleetwood, Chester Heights, and Da Ville. Fleetwood is rich people (from what I hear), Chester Heights is too, and Da Ville is the ghetto. There is one project on 3rd and 7th called Levister Towers. Everywhere else in Da Ville is depressed and ghetto. The only 2 shopping centers are The Ave. (4th Ave.), and Gramatan Ave. Rich, white folks go to Gramatan to shop, hood people go to the Ave. Has the highest crime rate in Westchester county. Also has a higher crime rate than NYC(check the stats). Home of world famous strip club Sue's Rendezvous. Childhood home of up and coming rapper PureComp. More recently, the home to the MurDaVille Bloods, mainly on 3rd and 3rd. Only 4.2 square miles. Rejected by NYC and Yonkers. Yonkers people swear they better than us. Guess what? You're not. Start a conversation with anybody 4rm Y-O and the first thing they'll say is, "Well in Yonkers..." MURDAVILLE STAND THE F**K UP!!!!! S. FULTON AVE. ALL DAY!!! R.I.P. 2-5.

Vernon is a place in Sussex County of Northern New Jersey where kids think they are the toughest shit. 4/3 people smoke pot in Vernon and think nothing of it, using words they made up such as "toke", "bos", "dank", "derb", "beat", and "scrounge". There are almost as many people who snowboard as there are who "token bos tos that dank weed" in Vernon. For every 25,000 people in Vernon, there is 1 African American. Vernon has 25,000 people in it.

Some people think Vernon is the coolest shit because it features hit hang out places such as "The Flats" and "The A&P". Some also think they are B.A.M.F.'s because they get up in class and say "You know what homie, i don't give a FUCK yo this shit is just siiiick." and walk out of the class to 'toke some grass' in the bathroom and go home to their failure parents.

There are 4 kinds of people in Vernon: Bosers, Tokers, Not blacks, and Whites. Leaks from government intelligence suggest they will use nuclear missiles on the town of Vernon so that the stupidity and 'really dank weed' doesn't spread to anywhere else.
