It is used when a friend just trolls an ongoing conversation between two other friends or just one on various platforms including live f2f conversations or those on the internet using slang or internet content such as internet memés.

- Dude, that internet memé you sent me over whatsapp was hilarious indeed, but I wasn't expecting it at all. You have to stop shocktrolling like that.

1. A feeling of disturbed surprise resulting from sheer stupidity.
2. A feeling of reassurance, embarrassment and shame because of realization of one's own stupidity.
3. Use as all-purpose word in awkward situations when one does not know how to react.

The pronunciation devides into two parts:
1. {ʃ} (hold for one to two seconds) and 2. {ɒk} (release as if it were a rubber band)

A syndrome where the victim is shocked at the sight of a non-sexually topless woman in public, especially when said occurrence isn't a part of the victim's daily schedule.

Female A: "I went out to Central Park topless today, since it is legal to go topless in New York. Apparently there were some victims of topless shock syndrome out there with their kids."
Female B: "Ah, lucky you."
