A strange, random phrase used to describe anything. Usually used as an excuse for something you weren't supposed to do. The conversation including this phrase, used by my 3 year old cousin, is shown below.

"Uncle Ben, I don't potty talk. It's just a sliver of the moon."

Used to indicate something or someone is amazing in some way, or to convey admiration for a person. Can be used sarcastically.

Synonymous with "Best thing since sliced bread."

Man, as far as she's concerned he might as well have hung the moon in the sky.

Ask any primus fan: Les Claypool hung the moon in the sky.

Howard Moon is one member of The Mighty Boosh duo (the other member is Vince Noir) known for being the 'Jazz Maverick' and bringing the musical aspects to the Boosh's amazing visual sequences during their surreal comedy series. He's also known for having a generic face like a pink balloon!
