apexigod

While he is a self-proclaimed villain, Apexigod is a highly controversial figure in the Fallout 76 gaming community. He is a notorious instigator of many social media and in-game situations. Apexigod is most well known for being a bounty hunter and taunting his enemies with his "Wall of Shame". This adds to his well-rounded set of PvP skills that have made him the target of much ire in the Fallout 76 setting.

His participation in the Fallout 76 community has reached a point to where you will absolutely receive warnings on the Official Bethesda Fallout 76 forums if you even talk about him. Many threads have been made about him and they have all been deleted and forum users issued warnings. He has made enemies out of the Bethesda forum moderating team themselves and accomplished feats that none of us quite understand, but are still in awe of.

Finally, Apexigod is the quintessential bad boy of Fallout 76. His antics, his shenanigans, and his approach to the game have made him stick out in a noticeable way. He is definitely not a player that you want to be at odds with.
Me: My friend was trying to get his bounty up to 1000 in-game, but that guy apexigod came along and destroyed him!
Other friend: That's such an apexigod move, he probably needed the caps!

Me: I made a thread about apexigod on the Bethesda forums and now I was issued a warning!
Friend: Apexigod Bamboozle!

Apple Jargon

Talking or writing in an understated way to give the impression that something is 'revolutionary' all the while not giving out any real specific details just the way Apple always does. A similar technique is used by teachers, they talk really quietly when they want everyone's attention.

The user must use the word 'cool' a lot or 'neat' etc. See any presentation involving Steve Jobs for an example. Apple jargon has now extended to Google and Bing and even journalists that write about Google, Bing and Apple. Other feautures; the user must be so arrogant to assume that everybody already uses some of their technology. Using words like fun and neat also helps!
Apple/Google/Bing: Hey, wouldn't it be cool if you could have all your documents in one place wherever you went? Well now you can with Apple/Google/Bing ***. How does it work? Well, that's the fun part, you just put all your documents...

Journalist: Hey, this week we'll be looking at another cool feature on your iphone that maybe you haven't used yet. (Oh wait.. I don't have a f***ing i-phone and I don't want one!!)

Apple/Google/Bing: What is social search? Hmm.. It's pretty darn neato. All you have to do is put all your contacts in your profile and... (Oh wait.. I don't have one of your f***ing profiles and I don't want one!!)

Apple/Google/Bing: The cool part of all this is the fun algorithm we have running the whole thing which looks at.. (Wait.. wait.. will you say how it works?! Like hell you will! You'll just continue using Apple Jargon!)

Unicorn Approach

The Unicorn Approach is a business phrase for handling those times when your boss is asking for the impossible and/or making completely unrealistic demands. Often, when they are demanding this, they resent any "negative" feedback. You can smile and say "Sure boss, we'll apply the Unicorn Approach to that and get right on it."

Strictly defined, the Unicorn Approach is pretending that all will be well in fantasy land, where it's rainbows and sunshine all the time. And Unicorns frolic. It allows the poor shmuck being asked to deal with the ridiculous, ludicrous demands of egotistical bosses with a bit of humor. Sure, it doesn't fix the problem but honestly - you can't fix it anyway so at least you can smile a bit!
Boss: You need to triple your sales this month. It doesn't matter that there are multiple blizzards, there are no sales people and your facility is under renovation. NO EXCUSES! Manager: Sure boss, we'll apply the Unicorn Approach and get right on it.

Guantanamo bay approach

The Guantanamo bay approach is to believe that anything, animal, object, human being or otherwise are inneficient, cannot be trusted or are in someway harmful to the individual until he/she is given prove that this object/person/animal is efficient or benneficial.
Since the internet is almost diametrically opposed to the notion of quality control, in recent years it's been a lot easier to just assume everything is shit until it can prove itself otherwise. I like to call it the Guantanamo bay approach.

i approve this message

A requirement implemented in the campaign finance reform legislation promulgated by Sens. John McCain (R-AZ) and Russ Feingold (D-WI). It requires that candidates explicitly define the source of television and radio advertisments as coming from their election organizations rather than from another source. It is done as a mechanism to control so-called "soft money" contributions to compaigns.
"I'm John Kerry, and I approve this message."
