TASBO

Taken from the British ASBO (Anti Social Behavioural Order). A term to describe the antisocial and stand offish behaviour of typical residents of Toronto Canada. Symptoms include a hesitation to talk to strangers, rude icey stares, shortened conversations, and general overcompensation for a heightened sense of insecurity.

"When I walked into the room, nobody acknowledged my presence. I guess they don't like me?"

"No, don't worry, they are just a bunch of TASBOs."

Multi-tasking

Juggling far too many tasks at the same time, half of which are light years away from your job description, because your boss is too much of a tight-arse to recruit properly, despite picking up a certain percentage of his salary precisely for recruiting and managing his own personnel.

The boss had me multi-tasking on PR, corporate relations, synergy management and copy-pasting all at once!

A simple task involving many small steps or the same simple task repeated many times across different data. Largely mindless but some level of attention must be paid in order to avoid having to repeat the entire task.

Having to go through the entire book and count the times the word 'and' was used was a Soul Crushing Task.
