Obsidian

A naturally occurring glass that forms when lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth.

It is an igneous material that contains Nga (niggatronium) hence it’s blackish appearance.

It also contains C (carbon).

Teacher: Mt. Kilauea’s lava turns black after cooling.
Student: Cool.
Teacher: Because it’s made up of obsidian.
Student: Wow.
