Cancer Snub Scandal

In 2014, six up to as many as 8 Glenbard East Class of 1994 classmates were in a scandal when they learned they snubbed horror author turned Sen. Andrew Ian Dodge. There were several blog entries taking each one of them out The Sloping Companion was a blogger on Wordpress that knew of The Cabbie Homicide's guilty party a year before this was realized. The scandal was starting to unfold on The Glenbard East 20 Year Reunion Facebook group where the organizer realized the gravity of the scandal when Andrew Ian Dodge lost his battle with cancer on August 1, 2014. The highest profile classmate was the one who works for Phillips 66.

The plagiarism of The P 'o D was the last straw as one of them has as many as 3,000 followers on Linkedin. This was the Shadow Dolls Plagiarism Affair too close to home because there were several that were involved and lead to the mistreatment of the roster of The Ethereal Gazette: Issue Five. Then the mistreatment of the publishers who ran him then a few started running with the industry factions, "I am not going to treat you like a classmate, meaning you're not immune to scandal if you say something that causes blowback."
What is this scandal? The one known as Cancer Snub, it was coined by the light blue blog of his own classmates where "Pastor's Spouse", "The Infamy Raines," "Nazi Eyes With A Jesus Smile," "Faustian Bargain" and "The Controversy Of The Classmates" put all of them on the spot and then the Insane Journal location had a longer entry speaking of Lombard. Mutual classmate (hangs out in a larger group known as Voices in my Head) and a cousin egged a piece that became a sleeper on Wattpad. An Eye In Shadows was revised to lampshade the high profile scandal.

The Sloping Companion was completely humiliated by the controversial author as he found a photo of this one's mugshot then flipped him off on camera then uploaded the thing. "Should had spoke up about me being plagiarized you fucking drug dealer." The wife of the subject of that blog entry was saying he was on par to Stephen Glass when she saw that entry. The barbs were critical shots. The scandal was chronicled on new media only. It was blown wide open when An Eye In Shadows was revised in 2014 to keep the integrity of the 2008 revisions using The Chicago Tribune reports from the era to further give historic accuracy. The scandal didn't make it to The Tribune but those who knew about it, they told others don't intervene when other classmates interacted with the roster of The Ethereal Gazette: Issue Five. This was dubbed Cancer Snub Scandal on Classmates.com.

World series scandal

At what point is cheating not cheating, when the teams with the most fans (Dodgers or Yankees) get the titles from all the other teams? Its interesting how the Dodgers haven't started investigating the Nationals (yet), but there's a bandwagon of support for investigating the Astros and Red Sox.
The World Series scandal went from nobody but Dodgers fans and Yankees fans having a problem with the outcome of the last few World Series to everybody wanting people out of the league and losing everything overnight. There's a lot of people who don't give something much thought until everybody else does.

Sign stealing scandal

A diversion for some of the elite to keep people focused on baseball scandals instead of the people who are taking their (the fans) money.
The sign stealing scandal got the attention of a lot of people, it distracted them from what the elite who are not part of any sports organization were doing with their money, and with their own time.

Sign stealing scandal

A bunch of drama created to get people talking about and paying attention to baseball again, to get better TV ratings.
If TV ratings were good, nobody would hear anything about a sign stealing scandal.

Astros cheating scandal

It's interesting how almost 2 years ago, it was popular to accuse the Astros of cheating and everybody did it, and they became the scapegoat, discrediting their success, but now when just one team does it, the decision to accuse the Astros after their 5th in a row ALCS victory is ill-advised and unpopular, (which is a lot anybody that accuses them now being told to shut up about it already) making anybody who says anything about cheating the scapegoat, and discrediting any success they had against the Astros. 2 years can change a lot of things while nobdy is looking or paying attention.
The Astros cheating scandal went from being something popular to talk about 2 years and everybody was doing it, and the Astros weren't allowed to respond or stand up to the accusations, to now anybody accusing the Astros of cheating is not allowed to stand up to the Astros or say anything. It must have to do with the 50 million people can't be wrong mentality, either way. If that doesn't tell you the game is thrown and the system is rigged before it ever begins, then what does?

The Great Bread Scandal

The Great Bread Scandal was started by Thomas McKenna in an elaborate attempt to push the workers of 2022 towards the bullshit option of being paid by literal loaves of bread instead of actual money. Thus, the term "let's get this bread" was coined as a memoir to the historic event.
I'm tired of this bullshit we need the great bread scandal again.

Pay me with some loaves like the great bread scandal and I'll quit.

GCA Island Scandal

One of the notable controversies regarding the gacha community's biggest and arguable most powerful organization that maintains offices around the world to serve gacha kids in different countries due to an unorthodox belief that the gacha community is "one big family".

The controversy referred to as the GCA Island Scandal, or the Untitled Agenda Scandal, happened when a private in-person GCA sponsored trip on Malaysia's Pulau Redang Island was leaked to the public by a one of the attendees which led to controversy about GCA heads and members taking an island vacation while the gacha community was in the midst of dealing with hugely problematic Russian gachatubers and Luni himself. One of the most notable leaks of the GCA Island Scandal is a video of GCA members watching a fire show at night while "old gacha songs" play in the background, which has been described by some as "cultic" or "unsettling". Some say this controversy has casted doubts onto the loyalty of GCA towards the gacha community as GCA is supposed to be the gacha community's faithful servant in all scenarios instead of enjoying themselves and neglecting the gacha community's current needs.
Gacha User 1: Have you heard about the GCA Island Scandal?

Gacha User 2: Yeah, I still can't believe GCA just left the gacha community to suffer on it's own while they went to chill on a beach with speedboats.

Gacha User 3: Honestly the fire show video is so creepy...I hate that one of my favourite gacha-era songs were playing in the background.

Gacha User 4: Perhaps y'all are overreacting, they might have just wanted to have fun, they are all friends in real life, after all.

Gacha User 1: Still, the gacha community might demand a proper answer to this.

Gacha User 2: Oh boy, new drama then, I guess.
