out of jail card

It is your `ace up your sleeve` when getting into an unwanted situation. Your hidden strength, or useful excuse.

An out of jail card lasts a long time, but changes as your situations changes in life.

Everyone has out of jail cards, but some people prefer not to use them.

Bobo is very shy. He doesn't want people to know that. So he poses and an eccentric artist in order to explain his strange behaviour. This is his out of jail card whenever people question him.

Sam gets picked on at all schools he goes to because he is small and ugly. But he's black belt at karate, and after school he kicks the ass of the people who pick at him.
