White Center

Largely misinterpreted as the scum center of unincorporated King County, Washington, White Center is in fact much more than a scum center. It is much more than a collective of toothless hookers, violent pimps, and dangerous minorities, though it does contain such seedy elements. It was where Richard Hugo, a prominent American poet once nominated for the National Book Award, grew up and drew much
of his artistic vision. So, this place can't be all that vacuous. It is a place of happiness, loss, sadness, love, despair, murder, thievery, generosity, diversity, life, and death. It encapsulates all that the human experience can offer. I should know because I grew up there. This piece of South Seattle is both shitty and beautiful.

Nothing dies as slowly as a scene.
The dusty jukebox cracking through

A name to describe those who neither fall in the domain of SoCal nor in the domain of NorCal.

A lost California soul, caught in the middle of a feud between two polar regions.

Announcer: "Where all my SoCalers at?"
Crowd goes wild. Then Silence.
Announcer: "What about my NorCalers?"
Crowd goes wild again. Then Silence.
Pause, one guy: "What about CenCal? Represent!"
Another guy: "Yeah!"
Silence.

Center Street Crips

A mostly black street gang, operating in the South Titusville neighborhood of Honeysuckle Heights, located in Birmingham, Al. The gangs area includes the central point, Center Street and extends 4 blocks west and 3 blocks north to 6th Ave. Originally founded in 1991 by a family known as 'the Cook Boys" the gang was synonymous for being 'jack boyz' and guns for hire to other gangs. In the early history the gang was ran by a ‘committee’, which was later dissolved in favor of one supreme leader. Coincidentally, the first 'supreme leader' was the gang’s sole white member. The gang began to lose some cohesion around 1998 and subsequently has gone through many changes. Today you can still find Center Street Crips in the area, although the overall dynamic has changed.

Cantaloupic

The word cantaloupic is used to describe somebody who likes cantaloupes a whole lot. A cantaloupic is like a chocoholic, but doesn't like chocolate, instead cantaloupes. A cantaloupic may also have a certain personality, they may be always open and 'fresh' in situations. Tasting rather juicy, cantaloupics are fun to be around, and may eat cantaloupes a whole lot!
