Blades

The ancestors of the name Blades date back to the Anglo-Saxon tribes of Britain. The name is derived from when the Blades family lived in Yorkshire, where they settled in a place called Blades, which is now lost. Many of the place-names that yield surnames are of small communities, villages and hamlets and some of these no longer exist.
