Appreciando

To know a lot about a subject, but to also be interested about the subject, not just have the knowledge because you were required to learn it in school/college.
I know that history of opera class was a real bore, but Tony really liked it, being an appreciando and all.

So what if you can speak French, you hate the language and the French! Now Phil, he is an appreciando. He speaks French fluently AND goes to France at least once a year. He translates books from French for God's sake!
