it is blamed for environmental destruction, terrorism, male dominance, war, famine and george w. bush.
but in reality, it's really just a car. and it's probably more fuel economic and friendlier to the environment than its critics ten-year-old washed down shitpig expresses.

A stylish and practical car best suited for driving around the suburbs. Originally aimed at real 'off roading' they now provide the answer to a person so vain and selfish they'd rather drive a two tonne truck-car then risk being seen in a 'daggy' sedan. Unconcerned with actual driveability, safety or fuel economy an suv can be the answer to a debt burdened suburbanite provideing all the image desired. A real suv driver never travels off road and those who do take the car off the road should really stop trying to live up to the sad image portrayed at the dealership and get a life!

An acronym for sport utility vehicle. This breed of vehicles renowned for their ruggedness, simplicity, often generous accomodations, and most importantly their ability to traverse terrain that unsuitable (if not impossible) for cars.
Proper SUVs feature manual transmissions, torque rich engines, proper ground clearance, 4WD that when not in use reverts to RWD, and either a body-on-frame construction or truck based unibody.
As of late, auto manufactures have combined the capability of a good 4x4 vehicle with the refinement and ease of a car. Thus, an explosion in their popularity has resulted. Envy towards them stems in large part from individuals who live below the povery level, insecure about their own vehicles worthyness, jealous of their capabilities, and scapegoat nonsense lies on such vehicles.
