1. A male, father figure that has the characteristics to make one melt. Dan-candy usually have washboard abs, toned arms, a warm smile, and a carefree attitude.

2. Man-candy that have a child and take an active role in caring for that child.

Dad crack, an attempt at humour usually made by a dad or out of touch 40+ year old. A remark is made to try and generate humour however is perceived as not funny or simply dad crack.

A strange occurrence sometimes takes place however when an assortment of dads find communial humour in dad crack and laugh at a younger individuals expense.

A deal or a bargain only a dad would find in a hardware or home improvement store, such as Home Depot or Harbor Freight. Such deals include power tools 90% off, or lumber to build that deck in the yard for 75% off.

Dad 1: hey Jimmy! Did you see the Dad Deal they had in isle 6 next to the cordless drills? 60% off Milwalkie 3/8th drive 18v cordless impact gun!

Dad 2: No I didn't see that yet! I was still in isle 4 looking at planking for the deck with bobby turner. You remember bobby turner from down the block? He came by because I'm just going to put the planking on the roof and hang out the window to hold it down instead of tieing it down.
Dad 1: Oh bobby! I remember bobby! Bobby the boobie bobber we used to call him!

Dad parade

When a group of families gets together and one of the kids convinces their dad to carry them, especially on the shoulder, it triggers the other kids to force their fathers to match the first dad's antics...

Kid 1: I'm tired. Carry me?
Dad 1: okay
Kids 2 through N: daddy - I'm tired...carry me!!! I said carry me like kid 1's dad! His dad obviously loves him more than you love me!

Mom 1: don't look now mom 2...it's the dad parade...
Mom 2: oh no - dad 2 hurt his back last week and was just starting to get better...
Mom 1: blame my husband - he should know better than to trigger a dad parade...
