One of the five boroughs of the City of New York, which is known as one of the top finiancal, entertainment, and social centers of the world. But this borough mostly consists of people who were not born in the city, but rather moved here under the delusion that life here is like Sex and The City or Rent. In reality it is a place where people come to work and/or drink, unless one is wealthy enough to live comfortably or enjoys slumming it knowing their parent's money will back them up.

Hey, we just graduated from some big liberal arts univeristy, so let's move to Manhattan and rent an apartment on 14th and C and pay 2,500 a month for one bedroom! Yes, mice included too! Wow, don't I have such hipster cred!

one of the five burroughs of new york city. an island bound by the east and hudson rivers, manhattan contains most of the landmarks and sights that make new york city famous. it is comprised of many neighborhoods such as harlem, soho, the east village, wall street, that have unique personalities and attributes.
often, it is unfairly classified as being dirty and crime-ridden when it is actually one of the cleanest, safest (not including terrorism) cities in the world.
