Derived from the word gnarly. It is a general sign of approval, and can be used for any expression of approval.

Its origins are from the suburbs of Cincinnati, and it is usually accompanied by the 'hang loose' hand gesture in a shaking motion.
Can you believe how hard I threw that orange at that guy? it was so gnarl.

A demon from the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He lived in a cave and psychologically tortured his victims before and while flaying them alive and eating their skin.
A demon called Gnarl. He has these nasty long fingernails that secretes a toxin that paralyzes you- then he cuts strips of skin off his victims and eats it.
