A synonym of SHTF (Shit hits the fan). Used to by survivalists and preparedness minded people to describe a chain of events that cause a breakdown in the rule of law or the collapse of a civilization.

i got a warning for saying "shit" because of children on the board, and since SHTF is basicaly saying the same thing i'm trying to be sensitive and say poop instead of shit, hence PHTF.
