At first Mapleleafweb strove for intelligent discussion carried out under objective rules. In recent years the rules and tone have been changed to give greater advantage for those promoting rightwing views.

Many people who used to post at mapleleafweb.com have been driven away by the increasing favoritism given to rightwing participants.
