A portmanteau of phone and clutch. A term for a very small bag that has a special smartphone compartment as well as sections for money, cards, and other essentials.

Laura, leave your handbag, we're only popping out to get some food! Just carry your Phlutch.

PTA

An acronym for Part-time Asshole. Someone who is generally a good human being, but outspoken in their defence of infringements of common decency or moderation. They will go on the attack (metaphorically) online and in real life to defend their friends, family, animals and even strangers. They speak out and fight against human ills such as discrimination, oppression, cruelty, trolling etc.

Matt: Aren't you going to delete Ash's comments from your post? They're outrageous!
Helen: Nah, it's cool, those guys were being really mean to me and Ash is a great guy and only a PTA.

dabled

A portmanteau for 'Differently-abled'. It's a less discriminatory term than 'Disabled' because the prefix 'Dis' in Latin means 'apart' and it has negative connotations when it comes to ability. And it's more concise than'Differently-abled' which isn't catching on because it's too much of a mouthful. Dabled is a short and snappy word to describe people who are still 'able' to do things but with abilities that may be different from our own. For example, many people with no fingers or even hands can still use a fork to eat. So they are not DISABLED to use the fork per se; they just use their limbs DIFFERENTLY to achieve the same result.

Hotel guest: Hi, I'm calling to see if the restaurant can accommodate a wheelchair?

Manager: Good evening sir, yes we have Dabled access in the restaurant, just take lift number 2 and the ramp.

Hotel guest: That's great to hear, thank you!
