Latinist 

in the modern world, where not many people speak Latin, this is a term of distinction and endearment for individuals who do indeed speak Latin.

person 1: Peter, since you are a Latinist, please tell me, what this phrase Alieni Ite Domum means? Is it racism?

Peter: no, lol, you espèce d'ìnculte. What your phrase means is "strangers go home". I can't define it as either racist or not racist, until someone defines for me the ubiquitous term "racist"

The Unforgivables 

(the u of Unforgiveables must always be a capital U): a Harry Potter related term referring, collectively, to the legislative, executive, and judicial orders of one's society.

Thus named because, usually, in North America, when a person has a criminal record, i.e. is known to the Unforgivables, it is most likely either for a very long period of time, or even for life.
son: can I grow weed in our backyard. i heard in school it' hip and cool today.

father: you can do whatever the hell you please. But remember you write your life in indelible ink. do not get on the wrong side of the Unforgivables.

walls have eyes and ears

an expression meaning

even if you want to keep something a secret, someone, somehow, somewhere, will eventually find out.
son: dad, what does the expression" walls have eyes and ears" mean?

father: it means " shut up and stop talking to yourself, because if you talk to yourself, others, without you even realizing it, will get useful, useful to themselves I mean, information out of you short-handed, which means you can't keep a secret if you talk to yourself.

brew your own vegetable soup 

an informal nicer word for telling people to be minding their own, instead of someone elses, business. Told to someone when you actually want them to mind their own business.
(after father stops speaking on the phone)

son: Dad, who was that? just curious

rotten eggs

father: son come here. You bloody report card is here.

son: oh, is really full of rotten eggs. if my report card has no rotten eggs in it, I won't even bother looking at it.
