A type of armor piercing, steel core ammunition, known and distinguished by it's green tip of the FMJ bullet. This is most common in the .556 NATO or .223 rifle calibers, but may also include some other military surplus calibers like 9mm. Greentip bullets are referenced in various hip-hop songs due to their notoriety and effectiveness as an FMJ round.
