A pervasive developmental disorder of the financially well-to-do that inspires them to purchase a yacht (any long boat powered by a sail and a douche bag), a membership in a country club, any Ivy League or otherwise private education and the apparent permanent blockage of the anus with any member of the phylum Arthropoda.

That rich asshole with a boat is clearly suffering from a bad cause of Yachtism.

A person who rejects the douchy lifestyle of hipsters and hoopsters and instead embraces the beauty of late 70s and early 80s Yacht Rock music.

Mike: "Dude, let's hit up that Kings of Leon and Phoenix concert later. It's gonna be awesome!"

Kevin: "Mike, you are such a hipster douchebag. I'd much rather hear a little "Africa" by Toto and some "Ride Like the Wind" from Christopher Cross. That's how a yachtster like myself rolls!"

Word to describe lying to your boss, family or teacher for skipping a required meeting. Showing up to work, family event or to class. Just to go out on your boat

I blew off work today to go out on my boat. I just have a bad case of Yachtitis and the only cure it so spend the day out on my boat.
