A word or name that is a clear combination of 2 or more words. Synonymous with port man teau, but easier to spell and understand.

Labradoodle is a wordbaby made from Labrador and Poodle.

Word baby

A piece of writing that someone is so damned precious about that it takes on human qualities and is more important to them than members of their own family. Similar to 'fur baby' for a pet.

Get over yourself, it's an essay on crop rotation in the 14th century, not a word baby.
