white prism uses their platform for poc bodies all while gaining the most financial and social stability. It is a less performative form of cultural appropriation whose after affects need to be more closely examined.

Often white prisms give a platform to poc and queer issues without fully being able to understand or experience the ramifications of their work on the community.

The prism phenomena is not exclusive to white people any marginalized person who gives platform to another oppressed person is a part of this phenomena just like every person is problematic in their own way even if they are also oppressed.

Jennie Livingston built her career being a white prism to a struggle when she was only ever a voyeur .
