After learning about animal products, how mass producing them harms the planet, the animals, and human health, Victoria went vegan. It didn't take to long for the stages of early veganism to set in. One is distinct existential experience after realizing 99% of people just don't care.
She said she'll never be the same. After watching that documentary she's freaking out that everyone's eating meat, like we always have. She told me to look up 'Vystopia', a word made up by some psychologist called Clare Mann to better understand. But I don't care, I just hope she goes back to normal.

Vystopia is the existential crisis experienced by vegans which arises out of an awareness of the trance-like collusion with a dystopian world. It’s the awareness of the greed, ubiquitous animal exploitation and speciesism in a modern dystopia. It was coined by chartered psychologist, Clare Mann, who wrote a book of the same name.
My vystopia is on another level. (I feel really depressed about how no one cares about animals)

After attending the pig save and seeing the pigs in their final moments before they went into gas chambers to be gassed to death I struggled with vystopia.

Vystopia is the anguish of being vegan in a non-vegan world. Most vegans suffer from vystopia.

If you suffer from vystopia, here are some recommendations on what you can do to feel better:

- Eat a nice BBQ with friends
- Go to McDonalds
- Stop watching ThatVeganTeacher
- Stop being vegan

If somebody you know suffers from vystopia, here is what you can do to be an ally:

- Avoid all contact with them unless they eat meat again like a sane human
- Tell them that vystopia does not exist
- Give them a nice juicy Big Mac
- Invite them to a BBQ
Vegan Brother: Hey sis, I'm suffering from vystopia. Can you please be vegan with me, it anguishes me to know that my family is not vegan.

Carnist Sister who has a normal brain: STFU and go eat meat like a normal person. You're the reason why I'm pro-choice.
