A phenomenon formed fully in concert with the proliferation of social media wherein a person or group of people claim falsely that they have been physically attacked, verbally or physocologily mistreated or otherwuse marginalized by some other person, group of people or society as a whole in an effort to benefit unfairly from human’s general nature of goodwill and empathy.

A lot of the stuff is real for sure but a lot of it is a bunch of slackers suffering from victimania.

Any attempt to portray or otherwise transform an assailant into the victim, e.g., White Supremacist as victim; Rapist as victim; Traitor as victim.

Victimating can easily be understood in the context of rapists claiming what they did was the victim's fault; e.g., "She was asking for it wearing that short dress."
