noun. A conversation held via instant messaging that is more extensive than a chat. Typically found in business environments when participants are stranded on a long conference call they really didn't need to be on.

Jim: "Man that stupid conference call on the budget lasted 2 hours, I'm so far behind now"

Mike: "Dude, you should have joined us. The rest of us had about an hour of typeversation on AIM and got all caught up on our project, then ragged on the boss the rest of the time."
