trannyboy

Trannyboy is a term denoting a female-to-male (FtM) transsexual person. FtM individuals may or may not choose to transition their bodies to their proper gender using hormone therapy or SRS.

As with many terms for transgender individuals, the term "trannyboy" should be used with discretion. Some members of the trans community might find a given term offensive where others do not.

Steven was born female-bodied but identifies as a male. He lives and presents himself as male, and calls himself a "trannyboy".

teddyboy

Particular strain of British youth culture of the 1950s, adopting a look that combined Saville Row elegance with American-influenced street-hood style. The Teddyboy, or Ted, listened to rock 'n' roll music, smoked cigarettes, and generally posed as a tough. There are still a few Teddyboys around, particularly in places such as Germany and Japan.

Trendyloin

1. The Tenderloin district in San Francisco circa 2010-2011, and beyond.
2. The Tenderloin district in San Francisco that has been gentrified by hipsters and trust fund babies.
3. The Tenderloin area in San Francisco when gentrification has brought Mercedes and BMWs and hipsters instead of people walking, riding bikes and crackheads.
4. The area in San Francisco where police harass homeless people, poor people, people of color and transwomen.
5. the area of San Francisco where cops harass people for sitting on the sidewalk, instead of helping people who are really in trouble.

The obnoxiously loud drunk hipsters poured out of the Edinburgh castle pub at 2am on Geary Street in the Trendyloin, just as the bar was closing.

A person whose behavior and thinking is fad-friendly, who does not evaluate and look for deeper meaning or give much thought to long-term consequences. Impulsively follows the crowd or other trendlings down the path of least emotional resistance.

Synonyms: sheep, lemming, robot, mindless.

Antonyms: mindful, unsheeply, unsheepable, thoughtful, analytical.

Don't be such a trendbot -- think about the issues, don't just follow friends (society, culture, advertising, false revolutions, propaganda) mindlessly.
